Join Discover Photography for the ultimate tour of the Canadian Rockies, The Rocky Mountains of Canada are a vast mountain range filled with mountain peaks, glaciers, lakes, waterfalls, canyons and limestone caves forming a breathtaking mountain landscape.

Our photographic tour of the Canadian Rockies will include all the classic locations and some hidden gems. We will start the tour with the iconic Lake Louise and Moraine Lake with other breathtaking locations of Herbert Lake, Peyto Lake, Bow Lake,Mistaya Canyon & Emerald Lake.

All levels are catered for so whether you are new to photography, an enthusiast or a seasoned pro we provide a fun packed tour with a masterclass in landscape techniques from our local professional photographer Nick Fitzhardinge.

While on location you will receive dedicated one-to-one tuition to help hone your landscape photography skills. Nick Fitzhardinge will offer guidance on both the technical and creative aspects of landscape photography and always be at hand to provide feedback on your photographs. At each location we visit Nick will make suggestions and offer advice on how to create wow factor images.

Surrounded by soaring pines and sweeping mountain views, our accommodation during the trip is Lake Louise Inn, nestled among the snowy peaks of Banff National Park and a part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The inn offers spacious rooms with en suite bathrooms. All guest accommodations provide the comfort and convenience of modern amenities like FREE Wi-Fi in a beautiful and rustic mountain setting.

We have teamed up with Travel Counsellors who will be able to assist in any flight travel arrangements you require and make sure you meet up with the tour at the times advised.

Nick Fitzhardinge

I am an Australian-Canadian professional photographer based in Canmore in the Canadian Rockies.

I grew up in Tasmania surrounded by art and immersed in nature: my mother is a landscape artist and so weekends and holidays were often spent exploring mountains, lakes, waterfalls, forests and coastline. I loved the geography and poured over maps of the state, imagining what each location might be like based on contour lines, names and elevation. A fusion of my artistic upbringing with a love for exploring the outdoors eventually grew into a strong unwavering passion for landscape photography.

I enjoy hiking, backpacking, & scrambling and have had many opportunities to do so throughout the world but nowhere more so than right here in the Canadian Rockies where I am a certified guide with both the IGA and the ACMG. It is here that I feel in my element; taking my best photographs, exploring my creativity and curiosity on the search for new angles, rare light and emotive moments in time. The Canadian Rockies are an endless source of inspiration and I want to share my deep connection to this place through the imagery you will find here on my website and through the experiences you can have when you join me out among these majestic mountains.
