Join the Discover Photography team in the breathtaking Hohe Tauern national park in Austria. The 1800 square kilometers of mountains is the home of Austria’s highest peak the Gross glockner. Broad glacier fields, deep green mountain lakes and impressive waterfalls with thundering glacial streams are natural jewels which are characteristic of the Hohe Tauern Austria.
During this 6-night photography workshop we will cover the mountain lakes of Hohe Tauern, sunrise & sunset shoot at the breathtaking glacier Franz Josef. We will also capture Europe’s highest waterfall Krimmell and have plenty of time out in the field to capture the rolling hills, jagged peaks and quaint churches located in the valleys during the blue hour.
Discover Photography provide photographic tuition with professional photographer Martin Rak, during the workshop you will be able to learn all the different techniques to photograph the lakes, mountains and waterfalls and come home with some outstanding images. The tuition will cover composition, shutter speeds, apertures & understanding histograms.
All levels are catered for with digital & film so whether you are new to photography, an enthusiast or a seasoned pro looking for a new photography holiday the Austrian national park is an oasis of breathtaking mountain scenery.
Over the 7 days, you can expect a fun packed workshop of great photography, great company and great food in the beautiful surroundings of the Austrian mountains.

Accommodation
With panoramic views of the Großglockner and the Hohe Tauern Mountains, the Lärchenhof is just 100 m from the centre of Heiligenblut and 150 m from the Großglockner Bergbahnen Cable Car. Free WiFi is available.
Furnished in a traditional style with wooden furniture, rooms offer a flat-screen satellite TV, a safe, and a bathroom.
Spa facilities include a sauna, a steam bath, and an infrared cabin. Guests can use the ski storage facilities and play table tennis. Free private parking is available on site.

Tutor
Your tutor for this workshop is Martin Rak. Martin is a renowned Czech landscape photographer based in Prague. He got his first camera at the age of 6 and has been interested in photography ever since. He has been commended in many competitions and won awards such as SWPO National Award winner 2016 and 3rd place EISA Maestro 2016.
Martin’s work has been published in various publications, magazines and calendars around the world. He contributes to Black and White Photography Magazine, Practical Photography, Digital SLR Photography, GEO (Germany) and many others. Martin cooperates with the CzechTourism agency and Bohemian Switzerland National Park.
His photographs are typical with foggy scenery, dramatic light and dreamy mood.
