Join Discover Photography in the The Italian Lakes surrounded by the majestic Alps that separate Italy, Switzerland, France & Austria.
During this photography tour of the Italian lake district we will visit Lake Como, Lake Orta, Lake Maggiore & Lake Lugano. This is an area of outstanding beauty to photograph during our 4 days. Hillsides drape down to the lakeshores with red tiled charming villages clinging to the mountainside, lakeshores link together with pretty fishing villages, we will also capture the medieval castles and grand renaissance palazzo, neoclassical villas with sumptuous gardens.
We will have plenty of time with sunrise, sunset and the blue hour to really explore this stunning lake district with our cameras. We will seek out interesting nooks and crannies as well as the better-known and more iconic sites around the lakes. Our aims will be to give you ample opportunity to really capture the history of this amazing region and help you get to grips with urban photography – and what a location in which to learn!
As well as having extended and flexible time in Italy where we will work one-on-one with each guest to hone your Urban photography skills, we will also provide demonstrations of advanced cityscape photography techniques, such as High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDRI) and night photography.
We also encourage participants to bring a selection of their work for a review and critique, our professional tutor will discuss the art of urban photography composition, how to use the camera to create wow-factor images and how to approach photography with the eye of a pro.

Accommodation
The Hotel Baveno is located along the shore of the beautiful Lake Maggiore. Each room provided is spacious with en-suite facitites and no single supplement. Whilst it is close to the centre of the small town of Baveno, it offers complete privacy in a colorful floral garden which leads to it’s private sandy beach.
Hotel Albergo is set in an elegant building just off the main road and right on the shore of Lake Como. The hotel offers large spacious en-suite rooms with free Wi-Fi. The hotel has lake-view terraces and a large outdoor swimming pool. There is also a sauna.
