Join Discover Photography for the ultimate winter tour of Yosemite National Park in California. With soaring snow capped mountains, towering trees & frozen waterfalls, Yosemite national park is a haven for landscape photography. We will follow in the famous footsteps of Ansel Adams who immortalised Yosemite to capture the spectacular winter conditions in Yosemite valley.
This two centre photography tour starts with four nights in Yosemite and will include all the classic locations in Yosemite valley and some hidden gems. We will start the tour in the iconic Yosemite Valley with Valley View, Tunnel View, Cathedral beach, Swinging bridge and El Capitan.
The second part of the tour will be based in San Francisco for three nights to capture this famous city at sunrise, sunset & the blue hour. We will photograph the famous Golden Gate bridge and Cityscapes of San Francisco as well as some of the spectacular nearby coastal scenery.
All levels are catered for so whether you are new to photography, an enthusiast or a seasoned pro we provide a fun packed tour with a masterclass in landscape techniques from our professional photographer.
As well as having extended and flexible time in the field, where we will work one-on-one with each guest to hone your landscape photography skills and how to use the camera to create wow-factor images.

Yosemite View Lodge offers spacious rooms, an outdoor amphitheater and a seasonal outdoor pool. Traditional rooms include a desk and a TV. The Mountain Room Restaurant is a full-service restaurant open for dinner at the Yosemite View Lodge. It serves steaks, fresh seafood and pastas. The Mountain Lounge provides a mountain-themed atmosphere, as well as cocktails and snacks. Guests can catch a game on one of the many TVs or relax on the patio which offers views of the Swedish-style fireplace.
San Francisco Hotel Fisherman’s Wharf is located to the heart of San Francisco’s most famous areas and attractions including the popular Chinatown and North Beach. This hotel features modern décor with en-suite facilities and free wifi.
Tutor Ollie Taylor
Ollie Taylor is an international nightscape (landscape astrophotography), landscape, and travel photographer from the UK.
After practicing landscape photography since 2003/4, he got hooked on night photography during a month long Iceland trip at the end of 2010, slowly developing his technique, and in early 2014 Ollie set up the first, structured landscape night sky (nightscape), and landscape astrophotography workshops of their kind in Europe; he continues to run them very successfully. The workshops provide photographers with the opportunity to learn night sky photography techniques whilst located within a traditional rural or coastal landscape photography environment.
